It was the Regent Gymnastics Club most successful set of results at the recent Hampshire County Grades Competition which was held in Southampton.

All Fourteen gymnasts passed their individual grade with nine gaining distinction and 5 commended.

In Grade 2 – Olivia Dunlop (13) won the silver medal and with her team mate Katie A ‘Court (12) winning the bronze medal.

Olivia also had the highest score of 12.00 on floor with Katie taking the top places on beam with a score of 11.95 and on range and conditioning scoring 12.85

In Grade 3 Milly Crowder (11) just missed the bronze medal by 0.05 of a mark to finish in a creditable 4th place gaining distinction.   Her consistent performance gave her two 2nd places on beam (11.35) and bars (12.45). Also gaining distinction was Rhea Fletcher (9th) Sarah Shah (10th) with Charlotte Neale finishing in 14th place to gain commended.

In Grade 4 Meaghan Walshe (10) gained distinction scoring 58.17 with the 3rd highest score of 12.95 for her range and conditioning with Josie Carey and Thalia Fletcher gaining commended

Grade 5 Summer Carstairs (8) and Jolie Love (8) both performed well to gain commended.

In Grade 6 this was the young gymnasts first experience in a Hampshire County competition and for their first time competing they were against 67 gymnasts and all did extremely gaining distinctions with Daisy Mapplebeck finishing in overall 13th place, Gracy Carroll (19th) and Eleanor Fox (28th)

Is a great achievement when the hard work and dedication of the gymnasts and coaches is rewarded at County Competitions.





UKG Gymnastics

Last weekend the Fort Regent gymnasts returned home with an impressive eight medals from the UK Gymnastics National Competition which was held in Milton Keynes

Triple Gold medal winner Joseph Carroll out shone the other competitors in his Level 7 competition placing him first in the combined floor and vault, High bar and P Bars.  Jonty Butler in the younger age group claimed 2 silver medals for the floor & vault combined and the high bar.

In the girls sections another 3 medals were won with Elli Carroll (12) winning silver on bars and bronze on beam in level 8 and Jessica Collins claiming a bronze medal in level 7 for the bars.

There were also some good performances from Kyla McDonagh, Aime Hawley, Mya Gell, Alice Ambler and Natasha Baluchi who were all competing in Level 8
